Sleep

If you cannot sleep

then listen to the sleep

that lies in bed beside you.

Or if you are on your own

then abide with the sleep

that’s lying deep inside you.

Your poem uses some wise words, Dougie. When I read it I couldn't help thinking ... Or, if the one beside you also cannot sleep, be a gentleman and get up and make two cups of chamomile tea to share in bed. At least that is my remedy at this stage of our lives. :)
