PRAGMATIC FROG (cloud pt4)

Woke up today,
By kicking it out of bed.
He was sleeping next to dawn,
Who woke up slowly with a yawn.

Me I got up earlier than it seems,
To catch a bucket full of dreams.
Don't wish dawn and day no harm,
Sleeping on the birds of thought;
They definitely need a bigger alarm.

I'll head over to the treacle mines,
With my bucket full of dreams.
To fill up upon treacle tarts,
Butter cups and marmalade wings.
I even bought along  cheeselets,
To pull along my carts.

Even in dawn's early light,
Managed to catch the sun.
Decided I'd do it for fun,
Not out of malice, let it go
As it belongs to everyone.

Used to have a pragmatic frog,
Told it easier to keep than a talking dog.
Called her marmite you can guess why,
She was a dab hand at catching fireflies.

Used to take her out for walks,
With a harness and saddle.
The day marmite left me I choked,
Was the only critter I had that croaked.

Sun's going down like a jelly in the sky,
Don't know where the days going I bet.
Maybe it's decided to have an early night,
After All kicking it out of bed.
Must have given it such a fright,
Sun's nearly set.

Time for me to climb aboard a fluffy cloud,
I'll try to catch tomorrow before it becomes today.
Have to try before first light,
Well better to get to sleep before morning.
Busy day tomorrow, Can't stop yawning,
Early night at sun's last light goodnight.
