A Dorky Improvisation

I was at a birthday party a week ago tonight, and was asked to improvise a poem on the topic of a cupcake. Here's what I offered:

I eat a cupcake just outside of Boston:

I really do enjoy that cupcake-frostin'!

Miraculously, this wee little effort was received with uproarious laughter and great delight!

Must have been made by Some divinity,
Eating that cupcake was a sin to me.
Eating a Boston tea cake good and hearty,
Without being invited to the Boston tea party.
But eating one was one of my holy wishes,
So now I have to stay behind to wash
All the cupcake dishes.

Or
A herd of cupcakes so devine,
I'd eat them all if I had the time.
