This is ‘memories ; definition of devotion ‘ re written a couple of years later
In you and myself,
The unforgotten past,
The futures hidden mysteries
And todays awakening of emotion,
Association with yesterday,
A game all lovers play
Silently understanding the promise of devotion,
To seek the faintness,
A murmur of the whispering wind ,
Secrets told in the air,
A wave on a moonlit shore,
Hand in hand two desolate figures
Knowing they care,
Love; a gentle silent truth .
Two friends try to cope ,
Eyes that say ‘we understand’.
Will two lovers hear
A single drop, the only tear?
A mere fragment in the birth of hope ,
Afraid of broken hearts again ,
The pleasure of pain,
A promise made……….
To be broken, never again .

I believe in memories,In you and myself,
