my LONGEST poem///pretty much my heart AND soul that went into the making of this piece
In my eyes
And I stare back at you;
You seem so intent
A longing, I read
You want me to kiss you.
But I hint a smile
And look away
You know I don't mean to;
But until I find
What's missing from me
You just have to continue.
For me, I don't believe
That there is a need
To have to;
Because we already have
Such beautiful memories
And I always think only of you.
Being in your arms
Underneath the stars
The pure wonder you are to me;
My head on your shoulder
You steal a kiss on my cheek
You never fail to amaze me.
I take your hands
And place them in mine
My favorite thing to do;
I stroke your hand
I know you like it
That's why, I try to please you.
I have never felt
So close to someone
As close to someone like you;
The simple act
Of holding hands
I could stay forever with you.
This nonsensical pleasure
This sentimental whim
The nearest to heavenly bliss;
Your hands in mine
It means so much
If its one thing I like, it's this.
When you touch me
On my face
And notice
The smell of my hair
Kisses on my cheek
Your arm always around me
Keeping me near
Feeling your breath on my skin
As you inhale,
Exhale
You give me
A feeling
Of insane ecstasy
And I sigh,
It always feels so good--
Cause you know just what to do.
I like looking into your eyes
They tell me so much
They have so much desire;
I know what you want
I know what you like
I know, they tell no lies.
I like the way
You make me laugh
And you always know what to say;
I like the way you keep me close
You keep my fears
At bay.
I like when
You tell me
That I can tell you
Anything;
It comforts me
To know that you're there
Together, we can face
What life brings.
The words you say
So quietly to me
In a mesmerized tone--
"You're so pretty"
"You're the most beautiful girl in the world"
--I'm flattered to know
That's what you think
Every time you look at me,
Through this I see your soul.
In my mind
You are
Too good to be true;
All your qualities
That I have seen
They bring me closer to you.
You are what I've always wanted
The epitome of my dreams
And what I love the most
Is the fact that
You inspire me --
With your gentleness,
Your sensitivity
And everything else
That you share with me.
"You mean so, so much to me"
I say;
A thousand times over
And more I will tell you this;
Each time I say it
I feel it in my heart
Cause I mean it--
And you
Should know this.
You are mine
Mine to like,
To love ---
And I know
You feel the same way too.
In my eyes
I can't see
Anyone but you.
