voice of one gone


so sing these songs when I am gone
remember this journey is never done
society secret where wonders abound
to a child unfurls when no one’s around
secrets whose keepers quickly forget
always wide is the doorway to regret
hiding here impatient to sneak a peek
ever reaching for achievements we seek
if only these songs our souls would speak
