kitchen reverie
we’re all out of oregano and the sun’s gone to
bed
so this pot of marjoram will have to do instead
a landscape vast against the burnished sea
whose
glowing embers fill the spaces in between!
meanwhile, burnished glow brings warmth
chills
retreat into glum-washed shadowy terrain
