writing is fun, especially when i am feeling lazy about writing.


Writing

the problem
with writing is that
i could write
sentences long enough
for me to build a railroad
of them and travel
long distance
whistling.

There is another problem
too
for i could make them
evaprate and then precipitate too.

Now that we are on problems
lets invent a few more.

These words could meander
and wander off
and be lost for the time being
and then be discovered
in another time zone
by an explorer, who could be
an archeologist, a paleontologist,
a botanist, a physicist,
a painter or a reader.

This is both unusual and philosophical (I intend both words as praise). It reminds me of Wislawa Szymborska in some ways.

This reminds me of how I used to feel when lines for a poem would come to me, then I'd lose them when some distraction arose. Now I think the words are still out there, and sooner or later they will come together again in a poem. Or, not, it really doesn't matter, there are plenty of words waiting for a home.

I really enjoyed this ramble on poetry.
