It's not hard, O proud man of the right:
be one who honours, respects, and listens
to women, and who even (on occasion!
radical idea, this!) follows their lead.
For me, at least, and you may find, for you,
it is neither difficult nor onerous, but
a good and joyful thing, fitting and meet,
to pay this gladly rendered debt of esteem;
it humanises me so to do, and so to act.
