This is how I felt when I couldn't reach someone


Lost

I'm smothered in darkness.
I can't seem to find my way out.
I'm searching for the answer,
But all that I find is doubt.

I don't know how I got here,
It started off so well.
All along I thought I could
Keep my thoughts under this spell.

But the darkness crept up so stealthily
That I barely even noticed,
And it wasn't long before I knew
That I was completely absorbed by sadness.

I'm confused but not only that
Fear is taking over my heart
I can't believe that I'm all alone
And from this place I can never depart.

You were once my guiding star
That showed me the way
But somehow we grew apart,
As different as night is from day.

Your beauty and light
Brought comfort to my soul
And whenever we were together,
I felt my life was made whole.

Now that you're gone
I feel an emptiness within
The connection we once had
Cannot be found again.

So now my heart is heavy
I've lost my shinning star
And in the dark I'll search for you
Wondering where you are.
