THE BARRIER
There's a barrier between us,I don't know how or where.
One thing I seem to now,
It's always always there.
Perhaps it's my imagination,
For I know that you really care.
Maybe it's my mixed dementia,
Or your hearing that isn't there.
We may sleep together but,
Your back is all I seem to see.
When you wake do you even look at me,
And remember how it used to be.
For I hope I'll never forget,
Just what you mean to me.
And hope that you can see,
That our love was always meant to be.
For there is a bond between us,
That no one could ever break.
For to live my tomorrow's without you,
Would be more than I could take.
