its the state of my backyard garden , all these twenty years as i lost my dad and brother

backyard

the backyard has fallen silent
as if all of a sudden

the grass is turning tall
for no one is there to level
i can still hear voices of friends
and those plays of dad and mine
the cricket we played together
and water he sprayed corn plants with
my brother and me are no more
neither is dad
a deafening silence has fallen.....

That is so relatable, except on this end, the land is gone having been sold and the memories gradually fade without physical reinforcement.
