T-RICH-ERY

There is what I call human wealth—cognitive abilities, talent, physical strength, health, family—and then there is material wealth.
And clearly, the two don’t always reside in the same person or the same place!

The left views the right as people with vast material resources but human capabilities no greater than their own. How do they justify this disparity? By attributing it to greed—and, let’s be honest, to what might be called "trickery of the rich"... The right doesn’t exactly have a sterling reputation among the left.

You can’t spend your whole life just studying and developing your human capital. At some point, a person’s faculties begin to decline—you’re not the same at 50 as you were at 25. You have to start thinking about your material wealth.

Take me, for example: I was never the smartest. I knew I wouldn’t be the best in terms of raw intelligence. But I wanted to make a lot of money—and maybe even leverage human capital where it truly exists, among the young, to build my own material fortune.
