Some new friendships are like molten lava which, when it reaches the water, hardens, unmoving, the journey over. That was this friendship. It burned hot and intense. Then we reached the water.
my soul has intersected
with those who brought joy
and those who brought harm.
But the most profound intersections
were with those on a journey themselves,
still questioning, exploring the possibilities,
digging deep, then deeper still into connection.
The whirlwind of these moments
bound us together mystically, frantically,
beyond space and time,
searching for something greater than ourselves.
But whirlwinds fade.
They slow, lose strength,
and finally stop -
the intensity too much to sustain.
Still, the memories linger:
the ah-ha moments, the laughter,
the feeling of holding a secret
only we understood.
What once spun us raw,
Now remains as a quiet hum,
The love and lessons remain,
Etched in us as we journey alone.

Sacred Intersections
In my journey of self-discovery,my soul has intersected
with those who brought joy
and those who brought harm.
But the most profound intersections
were with those on a journey themselves,
still questioning, exploring the possibilities,
digging deep, then deeper still into connection.
The whirlwind of these moments
bound us together mystically, frantically,
beyond space and time,
searching for something greater than ourselves.
But whirlwinds fade.
They slow, lose strength,
and finally stop -
the intensity too much to sustain.
Still, the memories linger:
the ah-ha moments, the laughter,
the feeling of holding a secret
only we understood.
What once spun us raw,
Now remains as a quiet hum,
The love and lessons remain,
Etched in us as we journey alone.
