Cancer test

Something tells me my time is finally here,
My thoughts have filled me with such fear.
One more day to find out if it's finally true,
A test for cancer has come out of the blue.

I'm often wrong so I probably am,
I guess I'm just a worried man.
Without me how will my family cope,
I'm nothing special just an ordinary bloke.

I know that I am getting on,
But I don't think my life is done.
Hopefully I'm cancer free,
I guess that I will wait and see.

Will it be death or life waiting,
At my age nether would be a surprise.
As I feel I've passed my expiration date,
At least I've still got time to say my goodbyes.

Seems like we old'uns are all facing one thing or another, which makes it all the more important to have someone in your thoughts, as you are in mine - for e good result. Fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes crossed. Blessings, Allen
