Time
Pre-teen, how I wish time went byfaster, restless was I to grow up.
How I missed now those days
without care, with friends, I rode
on buses, going faster than
the wind, time being counted
by our claps and our chants
as if reality was paused, nobody
cared about the hour. Today years
pass like day and realise I've grown up
overnight into a blue collar. Age-plagued,
in couch sedentary daylong
at this moment feel each day pass
like years, no matter I move faster
in years, sleepless, night long
each night, wheelchair around
for an eternity.
