Carnivorous plants

Gray concrete pillows where angels
lay their heads;
from above,
I fell from Grace.

In an instant, I recognized you;
hidden behind that indifferent gaze.

You sneaked out from the hotel.
My suspicions are confirmed.
Like a bucket of cold water,
waking me up from a lie.

The backbone of what we had,
forever...broken,
'swallowing a careless insect,
Leaving a bad taste
in your mouth.

Blood flowing from my wounded heart,
pushing me forward;
Without fearing the discomfort of the rain,
and propelling myself into the unknown,
beyond the pain.
Without fear of our devouring nature,
turning the page again.

Although this love,
was supposed to last forever.

Stupid of me.
