Gun violence is such a problem in America. It seems that many people worship guns as much as they claim to worship God. I will never understand how common sense gun laws are so loudly opposed by those on the right.
no longer spoken
by those who rule,
by those who wreck.
They throw the blame,
point their fingers,
spew their vitriol
at all they hate.
Hear the chorus,
chants and curses.
Shut your ears
against their lies.
See the carnage
born of division.
Feel the fear -
their hateful pride.
The guns will blast.
The death toll climb.
The sacrifice worth it;
cold metal survives.
The light diminishes,
their voices emboldened.
Truth is buried;
more will die.

Calls for peaceno longer spoken
by those who rule,
