OK Boomer

We long for what they promised us
Before they broke the world in half.

We long for what they promised us.
We long for what we’re meant to have

That they used up. That they spent clean.
Leaving us nothing but a dream

Never to be full realized
Except as twinkles in our eyes.

We long for what they promised us
And if they keep denying it

We’ll burn the world with them in it
And laugh as they beg forgiveness.

I've never made that bond myself, I don't know why...
they gnawed the wheat with the windmill

We babyboomers are a spoiled, selfish bunch. We have enjoyed ourselves at your expense. Now you can't afford college, can't find a decent job, can't buy or rent a place to live, and your government's so deeply in debt that it can't offer any help to you. We're the ones who are burning the world, and we don't care. We'll die eventually, and you'll have to deal with the mess we've made.
