A simple poem I wrote in 2012 while visiting the ocean.


Ballad of the Dunes

To the music of the wind and waves
the sea oats swayed -
like fans at a rock concert
when a ballad is played.

I watched them in awe,
caught up in their dance
of rhythm and movement -
oh, the ocean’s romance.
