a long time ago

a very long time ago I guess
wars were almost wars of borders
people fought for borders...
and it was true that if every nations could
get along with his neighbors, there
would be peace all over the world
but today, the world has become
smaller because of ships, trains, planes
electronic communications
and extra-territorial businesses, so today
I guess a country can be at war with other
countries that don't share borders
together...

je crois bien que les frontières n'ont plus rien à voir avec les chicanes qui se passent de nos jours... c'est géo-politique ou ce sont des moeurs et façons de vivre qui contreviennent à d'autres... il y a toujours une raison pour être en furie avec une autre nation, il semblerait... en tout cas, en observant les conflits qui sont en cours actuellement, c'est l'impression qui me vient.
