DO NOT COVER ME

Do not cover me in marble
Or allow ivy to choke my bones
Let me flame into the emptiness
So I can fill it with my light
Let my grains settle as dust
A film of me covering those
Who bravely went before
Dusting the ancients with themselves
Each of us adding our essence
The residues of our manifestations.
In time I may tire of flying
Be weary of being everything
Thus I might perchance return
To this playground of the soul
Where only the protégé of Bywyd
Can find growth from pain and sadness
And find completion from feeling
The fullfilment of Love.

Thank you for pointing that out, Ray. I'm afraid my typing and my brain are letting me down now and then.... typing constantly. I put the accents in as well. :(
Blessings to you and yours, Allen

Enjoyed. I thought Bywyd must be a place, glad I looked it up. You mean prodigy or protege?

As with the atoms into which we are reduced, only to be reconstituted again - maybe? Excellent poem Allen, and I liked the Bywyd reference.
