I have such a suspicious mind!  When will I learn!!

RICK, FALLING OUT OF LUST

I trudged back to Bliss's flat -
I had moved out of the hotel.
Where else was I expected to go?
Trying to forget the Dog and Duck;
dismayed at Bliss, fed up and done;
I poured myself a large drink
from Bliss's crystal decanter
intending to lick my wounds alone.

But no more than five minutes later,
Bliss bursts into her appartment
accusing me of deserting her!
Tears streaming down her cheeks,
sobs shaking her slender body.
My stomach twisted and ached,
and I felt such compassion for her
I just had to hug her and wait
for her to calm down so we could talk.
In the ensueing conversation
I learned that Hank was actually
her half-brother and no way a lover.

With tears still streaming she explained,

between heartfelt sobs and gulps of air,
Hank, over protective of her, insisted
on checking me out when he carried
our two drinks to our table,
later going with her outside the pub
to see his new car. Her big mistake?
Was her going on a test drive
which was why she was gone so long.
I have such a suspicious mind!

You know, this honesty driven moment
was when I actually fell out of lust
and into love for my darling Bliss.

Hank, meanwhile was waiting outside
to make sure Bliss was safe and well.
We met up and chatted by the side
of his Dongfeng CA71. What a beast!
How the hell did he buy one of those!

And therein lies an interesting tale...

I, too, was suspicious of Miss Bliss. Frankly, I still am. Be careful Rick, this is how hearts get broken.

I'm loving this story.
