Over Shifting Ground
Walk through the water,do not get swept away
in the undercurrent
of a rising tide.
Do not let the silt
of uncertainty
blind you.
Place your feet
with the memory
of a path mapped
over shifting ground.
Slippery rocks and
sudden drops may
compel you to tilt
your chin to the sky,
let your body
go heavy, limp,
breathe…
a temporary peace
waiting for strength
to continue
your walk through the water.
