Miss my gal

Longing for you

The moon is shining brighter tonight,
But it cannot light up my heart.
I’m sinking into the deepest ocean,
Where there seems to be no end.
I’m trapped in a loop,
With no way out.
Hold me tight,
Because I don’t want to lose again.
The tree of peace within me has withered,
Since your presence is gone.

Your poem touched my heart. I know I, probably like many others who will read it, relate to the deep longing for a person gone from our presence. Very nice.
Sincerely,
Melinda

Such a melancholy feel about this love poem. I ended up thinking how I'd enjoyed the emotive read and felt deep compassion for the protagonist.
Welcome to PoetBay Hebika.
