The Real Thing

Helga traveled to faraway places

to see Van Gogh's Sunflowers

Monet's Water Lilies

Gauguin's Frangipani.

Philip stayed home

and sowed sunflower seeds,

buried daylily bulbs in the back yard,

purchased a plumeria from Home Depot.

His work lacked artistic flair,

but he saved a bundle on travel expenses.

LOL! A short, sweet saga of Helga and Philip--well conceived and nicely executed!
