under the stars

samuel closes the door

there is no lock

zoey takes his arm   the street

is dark   is quiet   not silent

a spring night

they walk to edge of town

past the stables to the meadow

far enough

she rests her head on his shoulder

the chill air settles upon them

how many times

in one lifetime do such moments come

enough   not enough   does it matter

they are aware   of the moment    of each other

I suppose that the key lies in trying to create more moments like that and in recognizing them when they occur. But sometimes spontaneity doesn't allow for preplanning. :). I love a starlit night or an unexpected thunderstorm, but the joy is doubled when there's someone there to share it with.

I think Sameen has said it, but at the risk of repeating, this is beautiful. Blessings, Allen
