In a Temple garden thousands of miles away, a path is adorned with petals. You might think they are Patchouli. Not I!  I know they are fragments of a dream.  I hope I've done them justice.

ONE SMALL PARADISE

It was necessary to experience that.

I realise now all the reasons

Why it was so short by comparisons

And why it could not be measured

By even a year's passing Seasons

It had to be so that every glimpse

Became embedded in my Soul

Every moment magnified extreme

Like a beaustiful exotic dream

That you never want to end

And when you wake that morning

You remember all of its seductions

Its exotic perfume still lingering

But the heart is emptied, leaving you

Standing in a room of memories

Knowing something so unimaginable

Has faded into a time gone by.

Imagining the sound of footsteps

On a pathway to one small paradise.
