"The Dead You've Left"

Some I have abandoned,
who stand spinning within themselves;
who create the vortex that pulls downward;
those who never ask,
locked inside their situations
with their microscopically gigantic problems,
which they desperately cling to

To abandon such people
in an evaluative airing-out,
is a process of purification,
a shaking-off,
a clearing of the temple

– the love of life itself –

...and it was not easy to abandon, reject,
for I had placed my bets on them,
and guessed wrong

I love the unused association between your words, it works with me !

I like spinning within themselves, great imagery...to keep balance never stop spinning

evaluative airing-out, airing: taking breath

clearing of the temple, very good, a temple gets dirty too even if it is the house of god and the god is always pure and clean, we believers are not
