In the Blue

Many happy hours spent in the seat

Of a small airplane, piloting trips

To nowhere in particular, engaged

In games of touch and go, and

Hide and seek with clouds, childish

Games which no one loses, hours

Of meditation and concentration

On a sometimes gamboling, sometimes

Rollicking, thin-skinned collection

Of rivets and cables and good wishes.

Funny, that the best of times should

Be spent alone, and in the air, out

Of my element, and in my element,

Funny, but understandable, being me.

It must be a wonderful feeling, dancing with the clouds. You describe it so well. Do you still fly? Gamboling and rollicking are such energy filled words. I was with you there for a few minutes.
