our mind´s
monologue abyss
When echoes hit
hammering
into our heads
flowing down
bleeding
into our souls
When the demons
of loneliness
overtake
our thoughts
bringing
vibrating anxiety
Changing colors from gray
to black and white
Creating lifeless outlines
in front of our eyes
Making us
feel dead
and cold as eternal ice
Slowly we vanish
from bright lights
to brooding shadows
just slipping away
far away
from true life
Too far away
to be awake
again
Too far away
to be awake

We move
through the fog
through the mist
through black ice
and when we have gone
from the beginning
to the end
and from the end
to the beginning
We will
close the doors
of our mind
behind
us again
Time is changing
we’re moving within
Let´s start
our inner war
and let´s head
for a new beginning
We are just an army
of mindless shadows
from the past
Staying in the middle of chaos
without realizing
where we
are heading
We see the unreal
things are no longer
what they used to be
So is this the path
we choose
and what happened
to the great plans
we make
and chains we break
We just keep following
all these
fake leaders
blinded by
the influence
of make-believers
Where is the savior
to bring us back to life
when the mind
starts fighting
its own
lying thoughts
We’ve learned to read
between the lines
deaf to their fairy tales
and false rhymes
Earth trembles under our feet
The sky is gone
covered
by dark clouds
making us feel
as if we all
are alone and
all the words
are undone
Time is changing
we’re moving within
Let´s start our inner war
and head for a new beginning
