Please observe: If you see this poem, it has nothing to do with you!
the faint suggestion of a threat,
unspoken, perhaps nonexistent
– but the threat’s characteristic type designation
hovers inescapably around someone
who has suddenly come too close,
chest-on, in my face,
and I shut down all my public presences
to her;
draw blackout curtains
across the gaudy display windows of all social media,
sorry to have to make the decision
to reject the only person who has shown an active
and genuine interest
in my artistic practice, in several years,
even in – yes, perhaps especially – the sound art,
in sheer devouring-it-whole, hide-and-hair fashion...
– but the flaring social-media contact
turned out to be double-edged enough
to justify the abrupt blackout,
which probably torments the one shut out,
in whose environment the seed of violence seems to dwell

The Seed of Violence
Suddenly I detect, in my interrogator body, the faint suggestion of a threat,
unspoken, perhaps nonexistent
– but the threat’s characteristic type designation
hovers inescapably around someone
who has suddenly come too close,
chest-on, in my face,
and I shut down all my public presences
to her;
draw blackout curtains
across the gaudy display windows of all social media,
sorry to have to make the decision
to reject the only person who has shown an active
and genuine interest
in my artistic practice, in several years,
even in – yes, perhaps especially – the sound art,
in sheer devouring-it-whole, hide-and-hair fashion...
– but the flaring social-media contact
turned out to be double-edged enough
to justify the abrupt blackout,
which probably torments the one shut out,
in whose environment the seed of violence seems to dwell
