I am a dragonfly

The flower died long ago,
yet its laughter in the vase
still keeps ringing, quietly.
A void, walking and walking,
is coming toward me.
I am then a dragonfly.
I have no claim of ownership,
no deed to my name,
yet every morning,
the light of dawn looks upon my face.

This is an intriguing piece. Dragonflies do not drink from flowers so I am wondering what the connection is. It is obviously about someone feeling hollow inside but continuing on. It made me think, that's for sure.
