Hitting a wall.
I break at the ache of another day.
The shame has no name; it is hollow.
I have no words to say, it's a guise.
Let addiction bite and sink its teeth in;
I was always just this one thing.
I swear to God, I'm trying;
I'll think more for the rest of my life -
But it strips the colour from my eyes.

This One Thing.
The sun does not promise to rise.I break at the ache of another day.
The shame has no name; it is hollow.
I have no words to say, it's a guise.
Let addiction bite and sink its teeth in;
I was always just this one thing.
I swear to God, I'm trying;
I'll think more for the rest of my life -
But it strips the colour from my eyes.
