The rest of distance - the dwelling place of beauty

Yesterday I sailed upon a lake
a lake filled with deep blue joy

It whispered to me ;
swim in me
feel my ripples

in this beauty I found rest
though I am far from the lake,

today I will still see before me
that deep blue colour
and feel joy in it`s beauty
and feel the rest

The lake lies still
fine gentle waves
blue as blue blood
in joy and sorrow.

Whispering it calls
the ripples
of the swimmers of yesterday

The rest of distance
the dwelling place of beauty

The lake lies still

Hi! I came across your poem and could instantly picture the stanzas as connected visual scenes.

I’m a commission artist with 3 years of experience, and I’d love to illustrate each stanza while keeping the visuals flowing naturally from one to the next. I think it could give your poem a fresh visual identity and help you share it with a wider audience.

I’m currently offering discounted commission rates, so we could even start with a few stanzas as a small paid project.

If you’re interested, I’d be happy to show you my work

I agree, this is lovely and peaceful, and I'm grateful to have read it early on this Monday morning.

Yes, everyone needs such a lake. Thank you for sharing your words.

How beautiful. We all need to sail on such a lake. I could feel its peace in your words.
