HOW DO WE SURVIVE? TWO BROKEN MIND'S

Lately I've been thinking,
how to survive with,
A mixed dementia wife.
while I'm living through
a mixed dementia life

I love her dearly,
can't think of a life without us.
If we do go hope it's together,
before we forget one another.

Life is a place i didn't mean to go,
I've lived it with a heavy heart.
For a man born to long ago,
why I wonder i can't explain.

Am I losing my mind,
as i slowly lose my wife.
Or finding it once again,
as we share this life.

Together forever though,
thick and thin.
This dementia is a funny thing,
my mind is full of silly thing's.

It brings me tears,
As i struggle to realise.
Joys of my past years,
All belong to her.

Sometimes I feel pain,
for my life isn't real.
As i feel my mind drift,
against it's will once again.
