I grow up
tiptoeing around the growing craterinside me, so incessant
my parents' bickerings-
left and right bomb-words falling
as if there's a bit of medusa
in both of them
that has swept out love
from their heart or sweated it out.
Each in our dream alone
there's a truth each of us hide
from onlookers
that inside we are all
slowly dying
and I ever seeking a place
where I am understood
where the blankets smell home
where life's smallest needs
are nurtured
but my parents choose
not to create a word for divorce,
they would live that instead
without ever caring
where I'll take
my brokenness
and unwantedness.
