Alive
you held a stony heart,dead you're arrested
in an equestrian statue
in public square
where the fallen
are honored
by a swarm of ruin addict
tourists
who see no love light
in your eyes incised on stone
for ever open
but history's finely sculpted
lies.
State visitors lay bouquet
at your feet
look sad
and pretend you're still
inside the stone.
Sunk in your stone world,
much as you would like
to recall any
good deed you did
on earth, you cannot.
