I've been fond of writing of love lately
and this is one of my sweet cliches.
It's a poem, but it's also kind of a song,
only without a melody (at least not yet).
I hope it will be enjoyed...

A non-believers lullaby

I don't believe in lullabies and who am I to blame,
for I would like to think it true and put it in a frame
I don't believe in fairytales, cause it has not been seen,
a happy ending at my door and all that could have been

But though I don't believe it, I would take a different view,
if only he would call me up and say he likes me to
I would believe so easily if only given prove

But still it's not around to see or smell or ever more,
I see no thing, but clear decides and truths I can't ignore
I don't believe in lullabies, but daydreams seems so true,
my childish wonders makes me look past every sky, so blue

But though I don't believe it, I would take a different view,
if only he would call me up and say he likes me to
I would believe so easily if only given prove

And though it seems so far away, the answer does exist,
if only in a poets mind as secret as her list
A list of all the fairytales she'd like to think is true,
she should believe in fairytales, cause she is in one too
