Silent Love

Silent love,
One without words,
Only glances
And chances never taken.
Forbidden love
Forever to be
unknown.

A love never to be spoken,
Or acknowledged,
No passion nor kiss allowed in sunlight,
Or whispers in cold midnight.

Alone, in love
Living hardened lessons
As a soul is bruised
Against crumbling concrete walls,
Fear takes its toll on
Life.

Silent love;
More painful than black ice,
More painful than life.
More painful than dying.

Eyes that touch,
Heads bowed to the earths coldness,
Tearless window
Into agony,
And no-one
Can see
anymore.

One of your best, ever, dear Morpheus! I think many of us who have been there and done that can relate so closely to your words of pain...stunning words that go straight to ones soul....

Silent write of silent love...
"Alone, in love
Living hardened lessons
As a soul is bruised
Against crumbling concrete walls,"
Poignant, touching words. Talk of tough love.
