A song written under the inspiration of a Bruce Springsteen album. This is an acrostic Blues , feel free to sing it as you read .

Nebraska Blues .I.

Never have I been to a place this cold

Entering Main street as a blizzard storm unfolds

Born and raised on a thousand dusty roads

Relocating every month when it was time to go

Alaska was the year I learned to ride a bike

Sioux country told its secrets drunken on open mike nights

Kansas and Missouri is where I became a man

Atlantic City got me lucky and I bought my first van

Burning down the highways as the bridges caught on fire

Learning that these restless boots only have but one desire

Under the spell of orange moonlight she asked me to settle down

Ending life as I know it in this cold Nebraska town

Soon she´ll know that the promise was the one I couldn´t keep

.

I left her soundlessly this morning while she was still asleep

.

'Nebraska Blues' has left me with an array of feelings; a rainbow of emotions and thoughts...Neurons were dancing with beats of perception, from the heart. Every word coveted in these lyrics are filled with (potent) signs and meanings - that glided across my eyelids, as if seeing, feeling; the sentiments you captured and experienced in Nebraska (crytallised moments in shimmering nostalgic glints). Thanks for sharing this, truely wonderful lyric, you're a very gifted writer. Peace be with you...

Everything is just SO right - the style, the rhymes, the flow... And, as if all that wasn't enough - the acrostic. To say that this is impressing is a gross understatement!
Just - wow!
