when you don't think you can make people think any less of you, then do something completely stupid and just want to hide

Carnegies

I'm running
I don't want you to find me
You won't know where I am
Repeated thoughts, utterances
Juggling questions in the thick night air.

Freezeframing
Stop time for me
Take the machine, push buttons
Elicit a response.

No man's land
Approaching like an arrow on zoom
Way out, maze of insidious intent
Shall I go back to the moat of mud,
Dig myself deep into the trenches?

It was too late,
For I could smell but could not see
So could only infer reactions
Repercussions, of downing the unwanted

So now I cannot let you see me
And I disappear into the night

Zachary P. B.
i connect with this one. it was real and an amazing write...

i like it, i like it a lot.

i'm running
i don't want you to find me
you won't know where i am
repeated thoughts, utterances
juggling questions in the thick night air...

we run and hide in the dark, when really we're afraid of it anyway... i adore that first stanza...

amazing again.
