Time


I can not count my steps anymore
The dam was breached long ago
I wonder - what would you say
If time could be rolled back
There are still apples in the orchard
We only had time to pick a few
It seems all so very distant now
But time can never spoil the view
You spent so much time
To look so beautiful
So why waste your time with me
If you wanted to occupy my space
You should of understood my fears
Known me by desire
Cried with me when the swan died
You should have shared the same tears
And the clocks just keep ticking
Now all the memories have breached the dam
And in time - i will be washed away
Every footprint
Every thought
Every word - i did ever say
It all seems so very distant now

But time!

Can never spoil the view.
