Anticipation of Autumn
I took a breathearthy,
exciting,
an adventure was in the air
did I smell smoke from far off somewhere?
I scanned the sky
amber,
streaked
the sun helped stretch out a cloud
o'er a cornfield that was under plowed
trees and leaves
were
preparing
their last hurrah was at hand
soon a painters pallet would cover the land
shadows grew long
days
short
together I added it all
and concluded delightedly, its going to be fall!
