This has been a mystery since 1972

You Love Me?

I see your face in my mind,
a face I love
and where I find
assurance of your love for me
and who I am and who I'll be.

In all these years you've tried to show
a love you've wanted me to know.
But could it be?
Was this a dream?
A man like you, it would seem
would love someone much more fair
than one like me.
Did I dare
to think that you would care?

How could I be worthy of
your thoughts, let alone your love?
Yet you've continued through all our days
to show me love in all your ways;
your precious heart, given to me
for all to know and all to see.

There is no reason that you should.
I cannot explain how you could
love me as I am each day.
How can you go on this way?

There is no doubt why I love you;
a man of faith, a man so true.
who gives and gives for no cost
who finds me each time I'm lost

Nothing else in this life
is more important than being your wife.
Nothing else I could do
would bring the blessings of loving you.

ah, i know why he loves you. Because you are his beautiful, precious, darling wife. He loves you because you are just right for him and he for you. He loves you because he should. He probably asks himself these same things. Nah, not Paul. You are an amazing, giving, loving woman. You are worthy of all love, Sister! kathy
