A Portrait

visions of red
blue
black

twisted antagonists of plight
bend the plundering movements
of a mind in need of remodelling

paint this tired body careless
irrevocably in love with endings
shrouding showers of the now convince

dreams for visions of grey get submerged daily
and in frenzied splashes to reach a sip of air
serenity’s lungs breathed bannishment instead

red, blue, and black; so deep
irrefutable truth of these visions
a journey’s permanent « stability »

hemorrhage of a soul
the canvas drips a mess

Doreen Cavazza
An extremely thought provoking piece. I'm not sure I get its meaning, but for me this speaks of the underdog - the antagonist in the protagonist's story and of his demise. I like the dark, haunted feel of this.

Individuality
ah the mind - i think constantly we remodel. the madness of everyday makes sure we have to. the one good think with a canvas is we can blank it out and make a new painting :)

dark and angry, the imagery though is used well. artistic in its colours. how we see ourselves, is not often the case when others look upon us.
