It's Ready to Begin Now
Averted eyes, silky silences breaking,
licking stares biting my body as it twists, folds, shakes.
A girl crying loudly to the sounds I am making,
the harder she weeps, the sooner the next bone breaks.
Strange old memories -as your fists hit my face- I counted,
puppets, pebbles, pornography, the things we would share.
Now your body bruises mine but not in the way I wanted
and our audience will stay still until all my bones are bare.
