Nature Sings Me A Lullaby
I sit under the old locust treesas the sun softly shines
between the yellow leaves
kissed I am by the
cooling autumn breeze
as I sit under the old locust trees
Two bluebirds pass me along their way
I notice their colors
as they dart and play
I only wish that
they would come to stay
As two bluebirds pass me along their way
A lacy spider's web hangs between
limbs forked above my head
The wonders of this scene
with a gentleness
caress my being
as a lacy spider's web hangs between
Nature sings me a sweet lullaby
adrift in her embrace
I slowly close my eyes
dreaming peacfully,
contently I sigh,
as nature sings me a sweet lullaby
