This is another I had in my drafts but was unfinished. It sure is hard to find rhymes for Joy. I just finished it and well here it is....

Sorrow, Hope, And Joy

In darkness comes the sorrow
Sadness beyond any words
No light in all the tomorrows
No comfort can be borrowed
No laughter will ever be heard

In dawn's light comes the hope
Rising rays break through the night
Offering a pathway to cope
A lifeline, salvation's rope
A restoration of clear sight

In day's brilliance comes the joy
Dazzling sparkles of life's bliss
Colorful wings of the Viceroy
Cherry blossoms deploy
A sweet fragrant Springtime kiss

And in the seasons of surviving
Phases come and they go
Just remember to keep thriving
And never stop the dreaming
For the sun will surely melt the snow

It's always a pleasure to read your texts, Kathy, since they are always draped in ambiguous shades of masked undercurrents...

"And in the seasons of surviving
Phases come and they go"

these lines you wrote carry so much wisdom ... it is what we learn as we live ...that this is what we should expect and take care to make every day as good as it can get ... sometimes it takes us to heaven and other days it makes hold our head barely over the waters edge ....and still that is living and we go on trying ...

thank you for your words they were a joy to read ....
best wishes

This is awesome! There is so much to learn here, so much truth. And you said it with such beauty. I felt each emotion as it was described. They welled up inside me. So I started sad and heavy laden and ended the read in a joyful smile. Wow!
