This was inspired, sadly, by a recent documentary about dogs in China being reared for the table.

Food for thought

Dog is a delicacy
In some cultures,
Man's best friend
Going that extra mile,
And horse is eaten, too,
By equine epicureans,
From stable to table;
And don't mention
Kangaroo in the kitchen,
Hedgehog in the oven,
Mongoose in the microwave,
Python in the pot,
Wombat in the wok,
Living proof of our mouthwatering maxim:
'If it moves, eat it',
Ah, now it's time for lunch:
I'd eat out but I look like a dog's dinner.

Oh my gosh. At first I was all serious about those poor dogs and then the horses but then you started and i found myself giggling. Then at the end, well, i lost it. Its 7:30am and I am laughing, I didn't even know I was awake yet. Thanks for the wake-up call. I pretty much look like "dog food" at this hour! lol kathy
